With the exception of dog-fighting, it is difficult to think of any military duty for which this aircraft was not adapted. The original missions were level, and dive-bombing. Add to that: long-range escort, night-fighter, intruder, tank buster, anti-submarine warfare, transport, reconnaissance, towing and a host of other missions. The Junkers Ju 88 was a great aircraft and far in advance of the He-111.
