With it's huge four-bladed propeller hanging out in front, the Skyraider had enormous lifting capacity for an already obsolete airplane. It was used extensively in Vietnam for it's flexible weapons load and endurance to loiter for long periods of time over the battlefield. It could deliver ordnance with pinpoint accuracy.
